Happy belated new year to all of our friends, family, and loyal customers! We hope you’re enjoying the first week of the new decade. We've certainly enjoyed the past year, but we are even more excited to see what 2020 has in store for us. With that, we'd like to share our 2019 recap and 2020 aspirations. 2019 Recap Before predicting what the upcoming year will look like, it will be helpful to take a brief glance at the past. 2019 was a groundbreaking year for Wisconsin Hemp Scientific and the hemp industry as a whole. At WHS, we were fortunate enough to establish strong partnerships with up-and-coming CBD stores and businesses looking to expand their product offerings. More importantly, we further developed relationships with our 2018 growers and established new ones to diversify our supply chain and support more WI growers. Internally, WHS developed 27 unique product formulations (not including Whitelabel) and ran over 2500 HPLC tests (including internal quality control). We also hired our first two full-time employees along with some extra part-time employees. They've all been exemplary, and the extra hands on deck allowed us to focus on expanding the business. The production team successfully upgraded key pieces of the process to increase extraction rates and efficiencies. Quality assurance worked with Eurofins to complete a GMP gap audit. This is a pivotal step towards becoming a leader in quality and consistency. All in all, it was certainly a

As we enter into the first month of 2019, many are eager to start planning for the growing season. We’ve been fortunate enough to be in contact with many current growers and would like to pass along some fundamental knowledge learned in 2018 to future WI hemp growers. The majority of information online regarding hemp is directed towards ‘hemp for fiber’ growing. Here, we look at growing hemp for CBD production which is akin to traditional cannabis growing. Each topic listed below should be reviewed, scrutinized, and challenged as necessary. This is by no means an extensive bible, rather a brief overview of the things that should be considered before growing.

CBD is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis (hemp) plant. CBD is an abbreviation for ‘cannabidiol’ and is one of many cannabinoids found in the plant. It will not get you high and is legal to consume/possess in Wisconsin. More and more people are using CBD on a daily basis to alleviate a wide variety of ailments. It is commonly ingested via food/tinctures/capsules or applied topically via lotions/oils. This post will serve as an introduction to the immense potential of CBD.

As we approach harvest in our inaugural year, we’d like to extend what we have to offer. First and foremost, we’re interested in processing hemp flowers and biomass into concentrated, full-spectrum CBD oil. If you are a grower looking to profit from your hard work, please do not hesitate to reach out. We offer flexible compensation packages that will benefit every party involved. We highly recommend getting in touch with us sooner rather than later to ensure plant material is properly harvested and dried.
